Hybrid Sales & Consignment Associate Job Description

Chic Consignment is looking for a Hybrid Sales & Consignment Associate to support both the sales floor and consignment operations. This role combines customer service, inventory management, pricing support, and merchandising, while also assisting with day-to-day retail responsibilities and select media preparation tasks.

The ideal candidate is fashion-focused, detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. A successful Hybrid Sales & Consignment Associate will develop knowledge of designer brands, authenticity hallmarks, market trends, and customer buying patterns while helping create an exceptional in-store experience for both shoppers and consignors.

This position is part-time and is to be completed on-site in Andover, MA.

This is not a temporary or Summer position.

Responsibilities and Duties

Every day is different, but you can expect to:

  • Greet and assist customers throughout the shopping experience
  • Learn to identify designer brands and hallmarks of authenticity
  • Research market trends and assist with pricing inventory
  • Assist with taking in consignment and curating inventory based on season and fashion trends
  • Sell designer handbags, accessories, and women’s clothing
  • Learn about customers’ fashion needs through active listening
  • Assist consignors with consignment checks and questions
  • Organize racks, displays, and inventory by size, color, and category
  • Maintain display cases, fitting rooms, counters, and selling floor organization
  • Integrate new merchandise onto the sales floor
  • Assist with merchandising, mannequins, and window displays
  • Prep inventory for live shopping videos and assist the media team when needed
  • Ring up sales and learn/store POS procedures
  • Perform opening and closing procedures
  • Assist with inventory organization and loss prevention
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitization throughout the store

Qualifications and Skills

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of retail or fashion industry experience preferred
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and maintain focus in an energetic work environment
  • Demonstrable time management skills and sense of urgency
  • Ability to learn and work within a POS system
  • Ability to work well independently and with a team
  • Ability to work at least 2 weekend days a month, as well as a combination of day and afternoon shifts during store hours of operation; 10–5
  • Flexible 15–20 hours per week
